Play With Blocks

When I became a man

I found gazing through

a thin slice of volcanic glass

lovely, the hues and inclusions!

By myself I can do nothing.

I will to do thy will.

Love is the law, love under will.

Do what thou wilt is the whole

of the law.  Building the temple within

is easier with the wind at your back.

Knock down,

rebuild over and over

in new pleasing forms,

add new blocks.

About johnsmithiiimxiii

John Smith, IIMXIII is the avatar of an award winning poet, artist, etc. who still lives in the Palouse country of the Pacific NW. He has not received much notice with his prose . . . but as his avatar, I hope that he keeps plugging along.
