A World Tree

The dendritic path between spring and summer

frequently feels black and white,

but is really an angry

crimson bruise of desire.

It is a gaping wound

of life aflame.

The azure and greens

are foils the bind the jewel

to the chain of forever.

About johnsmithiiimxiii

John Smith, IIMXIII is the avatar of an award winning poet, artist, etc. who still lives in the Palouse country of the Pacific NW. He has not received much notice with his prose . . . but as his avatar, I hope that he keeps plugging along.
