Social Media

All of a sudden, I have over a thousand followers on Tribel! I use social media in an attempt to drive traffic to my blog. Since there is no difference in the statistics on A Total Solid Waste, I can only believe it has nothing to do with what I have written. It has something to do with algorithms.

Accidents

Isn’t it about time for the old, “Ah, the old tragic accident ploy, Chief” bit? The GOP and the FSB would be able to sweep their mess under the carpet with a little bit of effort, and a few more heads.

Fantasy Is Extra

Facebook or Twitter popped up with an old ad for white people expectations from the fifties, family, home, car, kids in college. This knee jerk reaction did not get into the comments:

‘There were a whole load of people on the planet that did not live that way in the fifties, many of them in the Americans. We need it better than the fifties for everybody. Family, home, car, kids in college is subsistence living for everybody. Fantasy is extra.’

I didn’t post it. No need to stoke the fire. Nobody is listening anyway.

In the fifties we were also aware that Nazis were bad, and that white people started banana republics for their benefit. We had not started to see that white people are an evolutionary dead end. They are dangerous. I will try to do with less to live before I let white people culture get out in the universe. I will try just live with the fantasy unfulfilled. It costs too much.

Terror Weapons

When I see the news about suicide drones and fighter bomber crashes in Kiev, why do I think of the waning days of the Third Reich and V-1 rockets or Imperial Japan and Kamikaze planes, a sign of losing air superiority?  When will Russia launch its V-2s and plague balloons?

Special military actions and police actions sound so much alike when the venture capitalists argue over money and land.  They start with Pinkertons and work up to the National Guard.  Federations and Republics have a lot in common.  Morality gets a little sketchy when State’s rights, local interests, are more important than a country.  The young in their innocence may make fun of the old, but the old who have money and opinions start wars to rub reality in the face of the young.  The old have lawyers and law and order on their side.  The young are sacrificed by their parents who were made by the old order.  It is the State’s way of making children for the old.

Kick off your shoes into the machine before you become a slave to it.  Youth is a terror weapon that the young should use.  The old are terrorized by the mechanics of Life. The young should be vested in fighting off Death.

Seasons Change

I noticed purple autumn croci coming up beside somebody’s concrete steps today. I suppose it is time to start thinking about how to survive winter.

Wildlife

Zoological gardens are like museums for looted living things.  They use all sorts of materials to keep the living things in their enclosures, bars, glass panes, chain-link fence, moats, screens, etc.

With game preserves, research facilities, living rooms, the fencing is there not only to keep things in, but also to keep things out.  Window screens are good for bugs, but not much use for bears, wolves, and foxes.  People can just work their way through anything; they are the worst invasive species ever!

Luna Tick

Moonrise from a sitting position. I never did go through getting the little bars for that sharpshooters medal.

But then I found an old gate post out in the field.

The color is right.

Necromancy

When Dr. Why was a student at Tonton Henry’s Special School of Massage in Haiti, sometimes a student would ask Tonton about zombies.  He would get a far away look in his eyes and lapse into his best rendition of a Jamaican accent and say, “Don’t go out of your way to raise the dead, ya know, ‘cause it is a bad idea.  But calling up demons, that is okay because demons gotta eat.  Some people deserve to be eaten.  Specially the ones that nobody else is dealing with.”

Then he would explain that that quote was attributed to the sorcerer Secmet, but he had probably said it in Kushite or some earlier form of the Nubian language.

Abel Why had never asked about zombies, but he took the part of demons to heart.  He wrote his dissertation on it to get his doctorate from Tonton Henry.

Only professionals use the term necromancy to actually mean raising a corpse and putting a disembodied spirit back into it for divination. In the 21st century, it just means magick.

Pens

It was in grade school that the Bic pen became the tool of choice.  I don’t remember if the plastic lighter came along with them.  When I “flip my Bic” it is into the garbage when the ink runs dry.

I don’t use a Sharpie for my John Hancock; its point is too blunt for my taste.

The Pentagram

There was a minor flutter on Twitter about the right way to draw a pentagram today. I thought I would through my 2 cents in.

PS . . . Ooops! It was on Facebook.
